DO I HIRE A SKIP BIN OR WALK-IN BIN?
Our walk-in bins are ideal for most jobs, as they provide easy access, as you can just open the back of the bin and put any rubbish straight in. There’s no need to try and lift it over a high side of a bin.
If you have limited space or just a small amount of light weight rubbish then the smaller 2 or 3 cubic metre skips are an ideal solution.
If you’re not quite sure what size bin you’re after, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to help you work out what size you need to complete your clean-up.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SKIP BIN AND WALK IN BIN?
For effective waste removal, we supply two types of rubbish bin hire: Skip Bin Hire and Walk In Bin Hire. Skip bins come in 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 cubic metres. They are smaller at the bottom and larger at the top.
Our Walk-in Bins start from 3 cubic metres and go all the way to 30 cubic metres. The distinguishing difference between the two is that the back end of the Walk-in Bin opens up and you are able to walk into the Bin.
WHAT CAN’T GO IN THE HIRE BINS?
Items which cannot go in any bins are:
Asbestos, paint and part filled paint tins, gas bottles, chemicals and liquid waste, food scraps.
ADDITIONAL COSTS AND PAYMENT
Some items that incur an additional cost:
Gas cylinders, tyres and if the bin is overfilled.
Payment is due at the time of delivery. Our drivers have credit card facilities in the trucks or if you choose to pay by cash, bare in mind we don’t carry change so please make sure you have the right amount.
HOW HIGH CAN THE HIRE BIN BE FILLED?
Bins can be filled to the top rail of the bin, no higher.
If the driver arrives and the bin is over filled, we reserve the right to either remove some of the contents or charge an extra amount for the excess.
HOW LONG CAN I KEEP THE HIRE BIN?
At Big Bins, we allow you to keep the bin for 3 days, but extra days can be arranged depending on whether the bin has been booked out to another job. We can usually be flexible, but extra charges may apply.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I NEED TO GIVE TO ORDER A HIRE BIN?
We are usually able to deliver a bin to you within 24 hours from the time you order.
We recommend that you try to book your bin in advance, to ensure you are able to receive the size bin you require on the day you need it.
WHAT SIZE BIN WILL I NEED?
This depends on how much rubbish/waste you have to put in the bin. To help you try and work it out the comparison of some of our most popular sizes below may help. You can even use the guides and book your Big Bin using our contact us page.
If you are still unsure, please feel free to give us a call and we’ll be happy to help you work it out.
