Waste Types

General Waste includes a wide range of non-hazardous materials such as clothes, toys, furniture, steel, electronics (computers, TVs, printers), power tools, generators, white goods (appliances), and construction materials (roofing iron, wood, glass, metal car parts without tyres). It also covers items like push bikes, highchairs, kitchenware, curtains, car rims (excluding tyres), and green waste (excluding dirt). This category is designed for mixed waste types commonly found in household and commercial clean-ups, making it versatile for various disposal needs.

Mixed Waste is a versatile category designed to accommodate a broader and more varied range of materials compared to builders waste, making it ideal for projects that generate a mix of items. This category includes all types of General waste, it can contain construction materials like timber, plaster, concrete andf soil but in smaller quantities compared to builders waste. Mixed waste is particularly suitable for cleanups that involve a combination of household decluttering and minor renovation projects, offering a flexible and cost-effective disposal option.

Builders waste encompasses a comprehensive range of materials resulting from construction, renovation, and demolition activities. Alongside general waste items described above , builders waste specifically includes construction-related debris like plaster, timber, carpet, and limited quantities of concrete and soil. It’s important to note that while some concrete and soil can be included, excessive amounts make the waste load too heavy for standard pickup trucks designed for lighter loads. Heavy loads necessitate the use of larger trucks amd incur a surcahrge. This category is tailored for construction and renovation projects.

Concrete Waste is a highly specific waste category, exclusively reserved for materials like concrete, bricks, stones, and tiles. This category strictly prohibits the inclusion of General waste ,Builders waste  or Soil . Ideal for projects involving demolition, landscaping, or construction that generate significant quantities of these heavy materials.

Dirt Waste is a specialized category designed for the disposal of clean fill, including soil and some turf, ensuring a focus on materials typically generated from landscaping, excavation, and site clearing projects. This category is strictly limited to clean fill, which means it must not contain any other types of waste, such as general household items, builders waste, or hard construction materials like concrete, bricks, and tiles.
